It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we remember our alumna, Sarah Alvarez, Class of 2021, whose passing has touched our community with profound sorrow. On Wednesday, we learned of her tragic death following a car accident in Little Rock, and the news has left many who knew her grieving the loss of a bright, compassionate, and cherished young woman.
Sarah was known among her peers, teachers, and friends for her warmth, her kindness, and her unwavering spirit. She brought joy to those around her, not only through her accomplishments but through the sincerity and empathy she showed in her everyday interactions. Her presence enriched our community, and her memory will continue to inspire those who had the blessing of knowing her.
As we reflect on Sarah’s life, we honor the legacy she leaves behind—one of generosity, courage, and genuine care for others. While words feel inadequate in moments of such deep loss, we hold her family, loved ones, and all who mourn her close in our thoughts and prayers. We offer this prayer in her memory Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
